10. Law Abiding Citizen

One man having lost everything and his tale of revenge. Personally i love this film and have seen it many times. Alot of people agree with me that it is a great, whereas others dont rate it so highly. If you haven't seen it.....WATCH IT.

9. The Green Mile
"Gimme yo hands boss"...Fantastic film set on death row. Story of John Coffey and the prison guards on the green mile, leading up to the execution of John Coffey. The only film to actually make me shed a proper tear I think.

8. Trainspotting
The Story of Renton and his struggle to give up his heroin addiction. Powerful story and some people say David Seaman is in it. Even though he definitely is not.

7. Man On Fire

My second favourite Denzel Washington film. My favourite actor, the man's a genius. In this film he plays a vengeful bodyguard to a young Dakota Fanning. Fantastic film, a must see for EVERYBODY.

6. American History X
Former neo-nazi Edward Norton tries to prevent his brother from following in his footsteps. Disturbing male rape scene is the ONLY negative about this amazing film.

5. Goodfellas
Mobster classic with DeNiro and Ray Liotta. Even Joe Pesci doesn't annoy me in this which is really something. Martin Scorcese at his best. A must see.

4. The Dark Knight

As Tom said a lot of focus went onto Ledgers amazing performance as the joker but this most recent Batman film is so much more. The only superhero film i will watch and CANNOT WAIT FOR the sequel.

3. Heat
DeNiro and Pacino go head to head in this story about a team of bank robbers. Best shootout scene i have ever seen in this absolute classic.

2. The Shawshank Redemption
Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman star in this prison drama about two men who become friends in prison and bond over there time incarcerated together. Everyones seen it. Everyone loves it!!!

1. American Gangster
"My Man"... The famous words of the one and only Frank Lucas. In my opinion Denzels greatest film and my all time favourite film. The story of Frank Lucas in 1970s New York and how he flooded the city with "blue magic" heroin. Russel Crowe gives a great performance as the cop who works tirelessly to bring down Frank and his empire. If you haven't seen this then you are just really silly. AMZING!!!
